Situation:
Our client, the construction company ABC Ltd., acted as the general contractor for a residential building project. After the completion of the construction, several disputes arose with the client, a development company also named ABC Ltd., regarding the quality of the work performed and the remaining payment for allegedly uncompleted works. The client refused to pay the outstanding amount and demanded repairs to certain parts of the building.
Client’s Request:
The client requested legal support in resolving the dispute with the developer. The goal was to reach a fair settlement that would reflect the actual scope and quality of the completed work and secure payment of the remaining amount due for the services provided.
Our Solution:
Legal Contract Analysis: We conducted a thorough analysis of the contractual terms between the client and the developer to assess whether all contractual obligations had been fulfilled.
Expert Assessments: We arranged for independent expert evaluations of the quality of the work performed, which confirmed that the majority of the work had been completed in accordance with the contract and building standards. The work had also been carried out on time.
Negotiations with the Developer: We represented the client in negotiations with the developer, presenting evidence of the quality and timely completion of the work and requesting payment of the outstanding amount.
Thanks to our effective negotiation strategy, it was not necessary to initiate legal proceedings to enforce the client’s claims.
Result:
Thanks to our legal support, the client was able to reach a fair settlement with the developer. The developer agreed to pay the outstanding amount and to carry out minor repairs at their own expense. The client was very satisfied with the outcome and was able to continue with other construction projects without further legal complications.
