Situation:
The client is a medium-sized company operating in the food and agriculture sector, whose business activities require ongoing legal advice across various areas of law.
Client’s Request:
To ensure the continuous provision of legal services related to the company’s operations and to take responsibility for independent and proactive oversight of the company’s business management from a legal perspective.
Our Solution:
We proposed setting up cooperation based on the model of an external legal department, in which a designated attorney would regularly communicate with the company’s management, take on legal assignments, and independently identify legal matters worth addressing—providing appropriate recommendations and solutions.
Result:
A system was established in which the appointed attorney attends the client’s regular weekly executive meetings, where key management matters are discussed and decided. During these meetings, the attorney provides legal input on the discussed topics, identifies issues that require more detailed legal attention, and takes on specific tasks, which are then delegated to other members of the law firm according to their area of expertise. The attorney also assumes responsibility for ensuring proper resolution of these tasks. This structured cooperation provides the client with greater confidence that its business decisions are legally sound. Additionally, this model offers cost savings due to favorably arranged flat-rate billing terms.
